Inspection Equipment Arriving at the Project Site in the Central African Republic

To address the practical challenges of cross-border travel and long-distance logistics in landlocked African countries, Chengdu Chengbao has introduced a new overseas installation and commissioning service model centered on remote technical support. Through this approach, the company will provide comprehensive remote assistance to help customers complete equipment installation and commissioning. For complex technical procedures that cannot be independently handled by local teams, Chengdu Chengbao will dispatch professional engineers to provide on-site support and practical training, ensuring efficient project implementation.

Located in Central Africa, the Central African Republic faces challenges associated with inland transportation, cross-border logistics, international travel arrangements, and local infrastructure conditions. Through multiple rounds of online communication with the customer, Chengdu Chengbao evaluated local construction conditions and the technical capabilities of operators, and developed a customized tiered service plan. This approach ensures compliance with equipment installation standards while reducing project timelines and lowering cooperation costs for both parties.

Before shipment, Chengdu Chengbao completed comprehensive quality inspections, anti-corrosion and moisture-proof reinforcement, and export-standard packaging procedures for the vehicle inspection equipment. Considering the high-temperature and high-humidity climate conditions in Central Africa, additional protective measures were applied to key components, including the main inspection units. After a long transportation process involving sea freight, inland transportation, and river barge transfers, the equipment arrived safely and in good condition at the project site.

According to the project update, the local partner is currently preparing for foundation construction. The accuracy of foundation leveling, embedded installation points, and load-bearing specifications will directly affect the future operating precision of the inspection equipment and represent a critical early-stage process of the project. Chengdu Chengbao has assigned dedicated technical specialists to coordinate with the project team and established communication channels integrating video, images, and technical documentation. Throughout the foundation construction process, Chengdu Chengbao’s engineers will provide remote guidance, reviewing construction photos and videos uploaded by the customer, verifying dimensions and parameters online, and promptly correcting potential deviations to avoid installation delays caused by inadequate foundation preparation.

Mr. Hu Xiaojun, Customer Service Center Manager of Chengdu Chengbao, emphasized that complete equipment assembly will only begin after the foundation preparation and concrete works are fully completed. At the installation stage, the technical team will provide step-by-step training videos, illustrated manuals, and real-time online guidance to assist local personnel in completing equipment assembly, pipeline installation, electrical connections, and basic calibration procedures. The remote service system will cover routine installation support, basic commissioning, and initial troubleshooting. Chengdu Chengbao has also established clear criteria for dispatching on-site engineering support. For complex procedures such as multi-equipment system integration, precision instrument calibration, and full-system commissioning, if local teams are unable to complete the work despite remote assistance, Chengdu Chengbao will promptly arrange for engineers to travel overseas and provide hands-on training and commissioning support to ensure the equipment achieves operational standards.

Compared with traditional full-time on-site installation models, the remote-first service approach enables faster response, reduces project costs, and simultaneously supports the development of local technical capabilities, helping customers improve independent operation and maintenance capacity. With years of experience in the research, development, and manufacturing of vehicle inspection equipment, Chengdu Chengbao continues to expand its presence in the African market.

The successful implementation of the Central African Republic project and the practical application of this new tiered installation and commissioning service model provide valuable experience for Chengdu Chengbao’s future expansion across Africa. Going forward, the company will continue to improve its multilingual technical resource database, optimize remote service procedures, and combine digital support with targeted on-site assistance. Through reliable Chinese-made inspection technologies and practical, efficient service solutions, Chengdu Chengbao aims to contribute to the modernization of transportation infrastructure in Africa and further strengthen pragmatic economic and technological cooperation between China and African countries.
